It's been a long time with no updates here and I am sorry. It's not that nothing has happened, we just are not in the thick of it any more. We were able to go and visit with Sky a few weeks ago, and he was not immediately happy to see us, which I completely understood, however, I think it was good that he saw us and he knew that we had not forgotten all about him. Liam took it a little hard and cried for a minute and asked when he could come home. That's the tough part right now. He is being moved to a RTC that is several hours away from us, so unfortunately that kills our requirement for ongoing family therapy, and we are now pretty sure that he may never be coming home. On the bright side, the center he is in now seems incredible. I think he will learn a whole lot about himself, while seeing a bigger and better aspect of the world than he has experienced up until now. They have several on site therapists, specialists, special education teachers, 24 hour supervision, plus cool things like swimming, horses, fishing, an indoor gym, organized sports, and loads of other things to give the kids a rounded out view of life, not just school- therapy, school -therapy for ever.
If I hear anything else I will let you all know!
Meanwhile, Liam is gearing up for summer vacation, we are in the thick of getting ready for 2 of my best friends weddings, I am loving being a vegan and a dedicated gym goer, and life is going along pretty well. Of course, there are bumps along the way, but that is what makes it life!
