Good book

Hi!
I know I am sporadic at best these days, but truly, as far as the adoption goes, there is little happening right now. He is living at the RTC, and we are unsure as to the future. However, I am using my time wisely and am still committed to learning as much as I can and sharing any good information I may come across. Yesterday I finally began reading "Raising Children who Refuse to be Raised." It's by Dave Ziegler, and it's great. If you are in the situation of raising a difficult child, you have your hands full. They say being a parent is the hardest job, and I never go that until our brief time with an actual tough kid in the home. But, this book, while it doesn't take the issues away, it shed so much light on them, that I believe, had I read it while he was living here, jut maybe things would have turned out a little differently. That being said, I am a believer in RTC. I think that kind of structure and stability and one on one focus is extremely important, and I love that I am getting this time while he is away to learn at a relaxed pace while focusing on every other aspect of my life as well. I am dieting, working out, reading, working hard, socializing, spending time with Brian and Liam, and every day feels like vacation. I am refueling and feel like whatever happens down the road, be it with Skyler or just with living my life, I will be better prepared to face every challenge.
But, if you are one of the few reading this blog because you are committed to a difficult child, I am so impressed by you, and encourage you to try to take at least a few minutes a day to read this book. It's not an easy read, but it's worth the brain fatigue you may get!
